Traccar GPS tracking inside Odoo

Traccar is an open-source GPS tracking server that works with a wide range of tracker hardware. I connect it to Odoo so vehicle positions, trip history and alerts arrive in the system your team already uses, instead of a separate map nobody opens. I built exactly this for Ecolit Ceiling Solutions. A typical integration takes 2–4 weeks.

What is Traccar?
Traccar is an open-source GPS tracking platform you host yourself. It receives data from GPS trackers, keeps position history, and supports geofences and event notifications. Because it runs on your own server, the tracking data stays with you rather than with a vendor.
Why connect Traccar to Odoo instead of using it on its own?
On its own, Traccar answers "where is the vehicle". Connected to Odoo it answers the questions the business actually asks: which delivery is late, which driver handled an order, how far the vehicle travelled against what the order was worth. The data stops living in two systems nobody compares.
Which GPS trackers work with this?
Traccar supports a wide range of tracker hardware and protocols, including the units commonly sold in Uzbekistan. Tell me the model you already have, or are considering, and I'll confirm it's supported before you order anything.
How does the data get into Odoo?
Traccar forwards positions and events over HTTP to an endpoint in a custom Odoo module, and its REST API can be read for history and reports. That's the approach I used for Ecolit Ceiling Solutions, where Traccar pushes positions and events straight into their Odoo.
Do I need Odoo Enterprise for this?
No. The integration is a custom module, so it works on Odoo Community and Enterprise alike, on Odoo 17, 18 and 19.
How long does it take?
A typical integration takes 2–4 weeks. If the trackers are already reporting into a Traccar server, it's at the shorter end; setting up the server and hardware from scratch takes longer.
How much does it cost?
The price depends on scope. I start with a short discovery to write down what is needed, then give you a fixed estimate before any work begins. Most work in this area falls between 600 and 3,000 USD.
Do you support the system after launch?
Yes. After launch I fix issues, make improvements and plan Odoo upgrades. Ongoing work is usually arranged as a monthly retainer, so time is reserved for your system every month.
